Oversized cargo delivery in tundra (February 26, 2010)
Reactor type transformer was delivered from Varandei landing stage to Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu oilfield. The cargo weighs 56.8 tons; its dimensions are 7580×2330×3850 mm. The route started in Usinsk where haulage truck MAZ 7310 'Uragan' (Hurricane) and ChMZAP 8388 trailer arrived by railroad from Archangelsk. From Usinsk the vehicles headed to Varandei — 600 km. On the outskirts of Usinsk they stopped at a gas station to the great surprise of the station operator. One doesn’t see such monster machines daily.

Then they took a concrete road to Kharyaga — last stronghold of civilization before the winter road in tundra. The route from Kharyaga  to Varandei passed by small nameless oilfields flashing in 'Uragan' windows as well as larger ones, like Inzyrei and Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu.

Upon arrival to Varandei and reactor loading with the help of two cranes loaded run to Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu had started. Cargo was successfully delivered to destination.

Multimodal interaction (January 18, 2010)
NEK specialists continue delivery of equipment contracted by ‘Total’ Oil Company for Kharyaga oilfield (NAO, Russia).

The bulk of cargo comes from Europe (France, Italy, Spain, and Great Britain) through the port of Saint Petersburg as well as by railroad through Ukraine, which is a result of coordinated efforts of NEK offices in Odessa, and Saint Petersburg. Cargo is also delivered from USA, Canada, and China.

Column from Italy (December 5, 2009)
On December 3, 2009 a heat exchanger column Е-2101 was loaded onto ‘AMER F’ M.V. in the Italian port of Porto Marghera, Venice (weight – 99.8 tons, length – 22.2 m, width – 2.85 m, height – 3.05 m). Destination – port of Ilyichevsk (Ukraine, Odessa region.).

In Ilyichevsk the cargo was transloaded onto rail transporter with carrying capacity of 120 tons according to a specially designed cargo placement and fastening project, and then shipped to ‘Shchekinoazot’ Company at Kaznacheevka Station in central Russia, Tula Region.

In the night from 15 to 16 June a unique transportation operation took place in the city of Archangelsk. The city fountain had been moved from the square in the front of Lomonosov’s Theatre to Profsoyuzov (Trade Unions) Square.

Two long-standing transportation partners, NEK Company and ‘Belomortrans’ Company, performed the operation.
The fountain’s physical parameters are impressive: weight – 93 tons, diameter – 10 meters, height – 4,5 meters.
The fountain was safely delivered to Profsoyuzov Square, which is about two kilometers away from the theater square.
The fountain relocation was commissioned by the Archangelsk Region Administration as part of preparations for the City Day celebration on June, 28.

Siemens for West Siberia (October 21, 2008)
NEK Company and ‘Belomortrans’ Company have accomplished a unique operation in West Siberia.

Heavy-weight Siemens energy units for a gas-turbine plant (GTP) were delivered to Priobskoye oilfield. Transportation volumes are rather awe-inspiring: three units 93 tons each, three units 76 tons each, and a few dozen units up to seven tons.

Heavy cargo from Italy (May 21, 2008)
Three reservoirs for Air Liquide Company have arrived to the port of Saint Petersburg from Italy on board BBC Holland vessel (two of them measure 24,5×4,9×5 m, 87 tons each, and one – 20,6×4,9×5 m, 79 tons).

Upon completion of customs formalities the reservoirs were loaded directly from the vessel onto ‘Oksky-57’ barge using a floating crane. Then the reservoirs will continue on their way to the landing stage of Turaevo, and further to Ryazan.

Oversized cargo unloaded at Dresvyanka (November 21, 2006)
A complex unloading operation took place on the Barents Sea shore, in the port area of Dresvyanka. Oversized and super-heavy cargo delivered by ships was brought ashore in adverse weather conditions of rapidly approaching winter.

All cargo including a unique Finnish crane ‘Havator’ had been unloaded from ships.
The crane was the first to leave board via ship ramp. Once on solid ground, it started unloading energy units weighing up to 93 tons and tall as a two-storied building, and then NEK’s heavy-duty haulage truck delivered the cargo to the shore base.

Unique crane delivery (October 16, 2006)
NEK specialists conduct an outstanding delivery operation in the framework of ‘Naryanmarneftegaz’ project – a unique Finnish-made ‘Havator’ crane needs to be delivered to shore bases of Dresvyanks and Varandei (on Barents Sea).

The crane with hoisting capacity of 350 tons has been delivered to Archangelsk by rail where it was loaded on a barge and shipped to Dresvyanka base.
First the Demag-350 crane moved 90-ton oversized cargoes from landing stage to the barge, and then followed itself. When the crane was on board, the vessel left for Dresvyanka where the crane is commissioned to operate for 10 months.

Unique logistic operation in Kazakhstan (September 29, 2006)
NEK specialists have completed a most challenging operation – transportation of a Demag PC9600 crane that belongs to SARENS Company from Tengiz to Karabotan.

By hoisting capacity the Demag PC9600 is the third ground crane in the world (2000 tons). The crane’s overall volume is 3093.34 m3, weight – 1648.63 tons.
This transportation effort required a total of 35 rail platforms and 11 heavy trucks.
Most heavy parts (45, 65 и 90 tons) were moved by trucks since due to the size limits they couldn’t be transported by rail. Matters were complicated by the absence of hard roadbed on Tengiz-Karabotan stretch.
It is interesting to note that all Atyrau transportation companies that possessed machinery capable to handle such cargo refused this particular task.

Flying canteen (May 29, 2006)
The first in this season flight of a jumbo chopper MI-26 took place in the framework of ‘Naryanmarneftegaz’ project.

Yet another oversized cargo – separator unit of medium type – has been delivered via winter route (zimnik) from Usinsk to Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu in the framework of ‘Naryanmarneftegaz’ project.

The unit’s parameters are rather impressive: length – 17 meters, diameter – 3.4 meters, weight – 36 tons.
In just 29.5 hours it reached Yuzhnoye Khylchuyu having covered a distance of 442 km.
